Headache Unit
Patients with complaints of regular headaches, as well as migraine patients, have the opportunity to receive an in-depth consultation with a neurologist who specializes in the treatment of headaches.
What's included?
Consultation with a neurologist (1h). Individual approach, explanation of the mechanism of headache formation, recommendations for lifestyle, creation of a therapy and treatment plan, prescribing of medications.
Trigger point blockades are possible, as well as consultations and classes of a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, nutritionist or psychologist.
Price
Paid service (60 EUR/1h consultation, repeated within 3 months 50 EUR/ 45 min consultation).
When can I apply for the consultation?
The neurologist consults every Friday in the outpatient clinic of the rehabilitation center "Jaunkemeri" in the Headache Unit. Please inquire about the exact time by calling or writing an e-mail.
A referral from your physician is required only in cases when it is requested by insurance companies. The service is not paid by goverment.
Before visiting a neurologist, we invite you to download the Headache Calendar and make notes in it, noting the intensity of the headache, the medications used, possible causes of headaches and other information that will help the doctor during the consultation to more quickly understand the nature of the patient's headache, make a diagnosis and prescribe appropriate therapy.
